Works great!
I've been struggling with my "Service 4WD" light being on for the last several years. This new switch solved that problem. It is a really simple no tool replacement process and here is a website with pictures showing you exactly how to do it: [...]
This switch looks exactly like the OEM one. There is a little bleeding of the lights around the perimeter of the switch, but I don't care since it has fixed that pesky "Service 4WD" light on my dash.

Fixed the problem
I had the symptoms of a faulty selector switch. The lights on the factory switch would cut out and my service 4x4 indicator would light. This Dorman product fixed the problem! I can hardly tell the difference between the OEM and Dorman switches.
Oh Chevy!
Chevy: How your trucks are so nice but the electronics are so cheap and unreliable. This is a quick and easy fix to most 4 wheel drive on/off issues. Electronics are such junk on these trucks, Here's a list of the issues I've had:
power mirror switch broke
power window motor burnt up (2)
windshield wiper motor broke
alternator went out
stereo speakers broke
heating fan control broke
a/c compressor will not shut off
All on the same truck. It's really not a good example of American pride in craftsmanship, the electronics engineers should be ashamed.
