Very easy to install
I purchased this part for my 2007 Chevy Avalanche. The installation was a breeze and the part fit perfectly. There isn't much to it,just cut the zip ties and take the old one off, then put the new one in its place. Even a novice DIY auto mechanic can do this installation, and you only need one wrench for the bolt that holds the canister in place. You may want to add a few more zip ties to the exhaust tube that goes up to the vent filter, but I didn't bother. Very easy to install and now I can fill my tank without venting problems and the check engine light is gone. I would recommend this to anyone thinking of doing it themselves. It takes about half an hour from start to finish and will save you a ton of money versus going to the dealership.

Part works for code P0449.
My vehicle 2007 Chevy Avalanche LS with 5.3 flex fuel. This is a replacement part for GM, sorry I don't know the old part number. It is a redesign and therefore will require an adapter (PN 19257603) which can be purchased on Amazon as well. I did not purchase adapter from Amazon, I did not know I would need this until the replacement began, and had to purchase from local GM dealer at $38. Part Works Great!
This part works great. Same part as the Chevy Dealer sells for twice the price. Took less than an hour to change and most of that was dropping the spare tire and putting it back. It does require the wire adaptor. At least for my Chevy Avalance it did. They change the plug connector on it so you have to spend more money to buy an adaptor. Taking lessons from Apple.
